Winter Festival Programme Launched

We are delighted to announce our first ever Winter Festival Programme which will run from October 23rd to November 1st 2009 in Dublin city centre with productions from the UK, Ireland, the USA and Africa.

Currently Seeking Submissions for Festival 2010

Do you want to be part of the world’s largest celebration of international gay theatre?

We are currently accepting submissions for the Seventh Festival which takes place from May 3rd to 17th 2010.

Submissions must be received on or before December 1st 2010.

Festival Productions in Dundalk & New York

We are delighted to announce that two plays from this year’s festival’s education themed programme will be staged in Dundalk later this month in association with Dundalk Outcomers. Killed By Curriculum by Shaun Dunne and Care Takers by Billy Cowan will both be performed as a double bill on Saturday 19th Sept in the Tain theatre in Dundalk at 3pm and 5pm. Tickets are priced at €3. If you haven’t had a chance yet to see these great plays, now is your chance! This follows on the footsteps of Festival hit Slipping by Daniel Talbot having been seen in Dublin transferring to New York for a sellout run.


Gay Theatre Festival @ Edinburgh Fringe

The International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival will be represented at the Edinburgh Fringe from Wednesday August 12th to Monday August 17th.

Brian Merriman, Artistic/Managing Director and Gareth Hurley, Secretary are the sole representatives of the Festival in Edinburgh and will be at the Fringe between these dates.

The International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival is entering its seventh year and is the only established festival of its kind in the work. It has presented almost 1200 performances since 2004 and has had a long association with the Edinburgh Fringe.
